Keywords Everywhere for ChatGPT
Use Keywords Everywhere inside ChatGPT as an app (MCP connector). Setup takes a couple of minutes and needs only your Keywords Everywhere API key.
You need: A ChatGPT plan that supports custom connectors (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu; in Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may need to allow custom connectors or add it for the workspace) and a Keywords Everywhere account with credits.
Setup
- If Keywords Everywhere is listed in the ChatGPT app directory, open SettingsApps & Connectors, find Keywords Everywhere, click Connect and skip to step 4.
- Otherwise turn on developer mode: SettingsApps & ConnectorsAdvanced settingsDeveloper mode.
- Back in Apps & Connectors click Create. Enter the name
Keywords Everywhere, a short description, the MCP server URL https://mcp.keywordseverywhere.com/mcp, choose OAuth as the authentication method (no client ID or secret is needed, ChatGPT registers itself automatically), tick the trust checkbox and click Create. - Click Connect. A Keywords Everywhere sign-in page opens: paste your Keywords Everywhere API key and click Connect. You are returned to ChatGPT and the app shows as connected.
- In a new chat go to +More (or +Apps) and select Keywords Everywhere, or just mention it in your message. Then ask, for example: Give me 30 related keyword ideas for "meal prep containers" with UK search volumes.
- ChatGPT reviews the tool list when you connect. All Keywords Everywhere tools are read-only, so no write confirmations are involved.
- To disconnect, open SettingsApps & Connectors, select Keywords Everywhere and choose disconnect or delete. The access ChatGPT held is revoked immediately.
What Keywords Everywhere adds to your assistant
Fourteen tools, all read-only. Your assistant picks the right one from your question; you never call them by name unless you want to.

Credits and your account
You need a Keywords Everywhere account with a credit package. Every data tool spends credits from your own account at the same rates as the Keywords Everywhere API (1 to 5 credits per keyword or returned row, as shown in the table above); checking your balance, countries and currencies is free. Your API key is in the Keywords Everywhere settings (the same key the browser extension uses). Regenerating the key there instantly disconnects every assistant that used the old one.
Security and privacy
- You sign in by pasting your API key on our page, so the key is never shown to the AI assistant. The server stores it encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and uses it only for the calls your assistant makes.
- Every tool is read-only: nothing in your Keywords Everywhere account is changed by the assistant.
- Access tokens expire after 3 hours and are refreshed silently for up to 90 days; disconnecting in your assistant, or revoking the API key, ends access at once.
- The MCP server keeps request counters and short-lived operational logs only; it does not build a record of your keyword queries. See the privacy policy and terms.
Troubleshooting
- The sign-in page says the API key is invalid
- Copy the full key from your Keywords Everywhere settings again; keys are long and easy to truncate. The account must have an active credit package.
- Connected, but no tools appear
- Disconnect and connect again, then start a new chat. Some clients cache the tool list until the next connection.
- A call fails with "insufficient credits"
- Ask for your credit balance, then top up in your Keywords Everywhere account.
- Data for a keyword is missing
- Google reports no volume for very rare keywords; try a broader phrase or a different country code.
- Too many requests
- The server allows 120 tool calls per minute per account. Wait a minute and retry.
